2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, ANDERSON SILVA! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! SILVA gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. SILVA throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

SILVA shoots in for a takedown but The shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. The has his takedown stuffed and SILVA counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by SILVA. SILVA wants to control from the top but The keeps moving. The looking to sweep here. No luck so far. SILVA has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of The is proving hard to escape from. SILVA advances position into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. The is looking to reverse the position. You can see the frustration on The's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. SILVA throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and The works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. SILVA sitting and controlling from the half guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The got a little sloppy there for a moment and SILVA has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, The has managed to get both his arms back between SILVA's legs - danger averted. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. SILVA pulls out of a head kick attempt.
SILVA throws a looping overhand right but The ducks down to avoid it. SILVA shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. The defends it nicely. The misses with a takedown attempt and SILVA counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by SILVA. The had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. SILVA defends it easily. SILVA thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing The to regain full guard. SILVA looking to sit in guard and control but The gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

ANDERSON SILVA showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! The's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
SILVA throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. The was covering up waiting for the punch and SILVA finishes the takedown easily into guard. The looking for submissions from the bottom but instead SILVA passes into half guard.
SILVA wants to work for an arm triangle but The is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. The is looking for a sweep. SILVA is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. SILVA is taking a breather. The says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's one minute gone in the round. SILVA's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The wants to get back to his feet. SILVA stands up from half guard. The has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from SILVA finds it's way round the side to connect with The's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. SILVA misses with a low kick as The jumps back. SILVA looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The has his feet on SILVA's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. SILVA buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. SILVA takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The trying to control but SILVA postures up.

The is in trouble now - SILVA has advanced to mount! SILVA is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. The can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
ANDERSON SILVA is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. SILVA looking to control and managing it successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! ANDERSON SILVA comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well SILVA has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
