Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Miller Rossi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Morton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luiz Miller Rossi! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Morton! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morton changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Morton shoots in but Rossi avoids the takedown attempt easily. Morton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Morton tries for a takedown but Rossi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Morton looks to land a combination but Rossi avoids it well. Rossi throws a quick inside leg kick. Morton goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Luiz Miller Rossi has been cut. Morton shoots in for a takedown but Rossi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Luiz Miller Rossi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Morton. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Morton shoots in but no luck this time. A looping hook to the body misses from Morton. Rossi does a little dance to reset his feet. Rossi throws a series of punches but Morton moves out of range. Morton tries for a takedown but Rossi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Morton looks gassed! Morton fails with a takedown attempt. Morton closes the distance and clinches up with Rossi, looking for a takedown. Morton pushes Rossi against the cage but Rossi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rossi throws a right and a left that both miss. Morton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rossi swivels and escapes. The fight stays on the outside here - Morton looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A looping hook to the body misses from Rossi. Morton does a little dance to reset his feet. Rossi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Morton fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Morton tries for a takedown but Rossi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Rossi lands a right hook to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rossi, right into the meat.
Rossi misses with a few strikes there.

Rossi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rossi wants it to stay on the feet. Rossi digs a good hook to Morton's body.
A good leg kick by Rossi. Morton shoots in looking for a takedown. Rossi tries to sprawl out of it but Morton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rossi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Morton takes one on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rossi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Morton manages to avoid it. Rossi throws a leg kick that misses. Morton takes a body punch but keeps moving. Morton misses with a straight left. Morton closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rossi circles away. Morton on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rossi. Rossi obviously looking to wear him down.
Rossi is looking to wear down Morton with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Rossi swinging wildly here.
Morton shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rossi but Rossi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rossi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rossi wants it to stay on the feet. Rossi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Morton looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Rossi avoids a kick to the body.
Morton shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rossi sprawls well. Rossi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Morton gets slowly back to his feet. Rossi misses with a double jab
and Morton counters with a nice double leg into guard. Morton trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Morton working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Morton with a flurry of punches that miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Luiz Miller Rossi will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Luiz Miller Rossi's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Morton shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rossi as he avoids it easily. Rossi looks to land a left hand but Morton moved out of range nicely. Rossi motions for Morton to come forward. Rossi throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Morton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Luiz Miller Rossi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Morton throws a series of punches but Rossi moves out of range. Rossi throws a left and a right that both miss
and Morton counters with a nice body kick. A nice combination there by Rossi.
Rossi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Luiz Miller Rossi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Morton. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Morton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rossi tries to avoid it but Morton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rossi to the ground. Rossi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Morton takes one to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morton tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rossi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Morton somewhat. Rossi scores with a three punch combo!
Morton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rossi pinned against the cage. Rossi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Morton looks for a takedown but Rossi sprawls well. Rossi cracks the inside of Morton's front leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Morton fails with a takedown attempt. Rossi avoids a kick to the body.
Morton fails in his attempt to clinch. Nice takedown defense from Rossi. No joy for Morton on that attempt. Morton avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rossi throws a quick inside leg kick. Rossi lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Morton misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A right-left combo lands from Rossi. Rossi lands with a nice combination. Morton backs away looking to recover. Rossi with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Morton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Morton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Morton is looking for a kimura but Rossi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Morton to get the leverage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Morton prevents Rossi from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morton is trying for a kimura here. Rossi looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Morton wins by kimura!
