Goro comes to the cage accompanied by Good night my little friends. . Ivan Emelianenko is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Emelianenko! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko slips a jab and a cross from Goro.
Goro shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Emelianenko napping and manages to drive through into side control! Goro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Emelianenko keeps working. Goro working away. Emelianenko is trying to get back to half guard. Goro is looking to take a break and control but Emelianenko is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Goro is trying to get an arm triangle but Emelianenko is defending well. Goro is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Emelianenko has escaped the position, nice work there. Emelianenko tries to bench press Goro off him but Goro keeps the position. Emelianenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goro scoring with punches and elbows. Emelianenko sneaks back into half guard. Emelianenko blocking the ground and pound attempt from Goro. Goro is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Goro has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Goro is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Goro in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Emelianenko tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Goro!
