Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gerard Mullins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cheng Gong Desheng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cheng Gong Desheng acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gerard Mullins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cheng Gong Desheng! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Desheng with that takedown attempt. Cheng Gong Desheng seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mullins scores a takedown into full mount! Desheng is working to get back to half guard.
Mullins controlling the pace for now. Mullins prevents Desheng from getting the reversal. Mullins is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Desheng can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Desheng is wriggling around trying to escape.

Mullins is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Desheng's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Desheng's back! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Mullins keeps control of the position easily here as Desheng tries to buck him off.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mullins controls the action. Desheng is covering up but some of the strikes from Mullins are getting through and doing damage.
Mullins doesn't have the hooks in and Desheng manages to turn into his guard.

Mullins regains half guard. Desheng works his way into full mount! Desheng stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Desheng tries to hold on but Mullins pushes him away. Mullins looking to control and managing it successfully. Desheng gets back to half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Mullins dives in and grabs Desheng's left leg, looking for a takedown. Desheng pushes down on Mullins's head and hops out. Mullins sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Mullins moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Mullins not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Desheng drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mullins looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mullins looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mullins! Mullins taking a breather here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Desheng tries to buck Mullins off but Mullins is having none of it. Mullins working the body and head with strikes. Desheng seems a little lost for a moment, as Mullins dominates the positioning. Mullins advances to full mount. Cheng Gong Desheng has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mullins controlling from the full mount. Gerard Mullins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Gerard Mullins showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mullins, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
