Kingston has chosen Public Enemy - Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos as his entrance music. Eddie Kingston has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mario Ribeiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eddie Kingston! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.

Eddie Kingston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ribeiro tries to clinch there but Kingston circles away.
Ribeiro looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Ribeiro looking to pass the guard. Ribeiro slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Ribeiro wants to control from the top but Kingston keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ribeiro won't allow Kingston to get back to his feet.

Ribeiro trying to control but Kingston is working from the bottom. Ribeiro tries to free his leg and advance position but Kingston is retaining full guard.

Ribeiro feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ribeiro is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kingston is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kingston has escaped and now he's on top!

Ribeiro is looking for a triangle but Kingston pushes his legs off easily.

Ribeiro wants to control the position but Kingston says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Ribeiro has his hands clasped together around Kingston's back. He's all about the action. Kingston wants to get back to his feet.

Ribeiro is looking to get back to full guard here but Kingston has managed to pass to side control instead. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ribeiro can't escape the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ribeiro wants to control but Kingston is having none of it. Ribeiro sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mario Ribeiro dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Ribeiro tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kingston swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ribeiro looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kingston is fending him off so far but Ribeiro persists. Nope, Kingston circles away and we're back to standing. Kingston scoring well with a low kick there.
Kingston looks to score with a jab to the body but Ribeiro is just out of range. Kingston lands a jab to the nose.

It looks like Mario Ribeiro has been cut. Ribeiro keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kingston. Ribeiro shoots in for a takedown but Kingston shows good takedown defense. Kingston misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ribeiro closes the distance and pushes Kingston back into the cage.
Ribeiro's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ribeiro darts in and clinches Kingston up against the cage. Kingston tries to break the clinch but Ribeiro is controlling the position. Ribeiro's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Ribeiro is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kingston gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Ribeiro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kingston wants to break the clinch but can't.
Ribeiro is working for takedown but Kingston is calmly controlling the position for now.

Ribeiro has Kingston pressed against the cage, preventing Kingston from circling away and getting back to striking at range. The referee is keeping an eye on Ribeiro - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
A frustrated look appears on Kingston's face as he tries to break the clinch. Kingston working hard to break the clinch.
Ribeiro has hold of one of Kingston's legs. Kingston is fighting the takedown attempt but Ribeiro gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Ribeiro is looking to advance position but Kingston has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Ribeiro wants to control but Kingston is having none of it.

Kingston is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Kingston lands a jab to the head.
Kingston misses with an uppercut. Kingston fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Ribeiro is out of range. Kingston finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Ribeiro misses with a takedown attempt - Kingston sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kingston gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ribeiro trying to control but Kingston is working from the bottom.

Kingston wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Ribeiro's closed guard. He's half up but Ribeiro has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Ribeiro pivots and extends the arm, Kingston falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Ribeiro! Well done that man!
