Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Benevidi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Protsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benevidi is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jake Benevidi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Evan Protsky! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Protsky tries for a takedown but Benevidi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Benevidi is breathing heavily. Protsky shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Protsky trying to control the pace. Protsky slips a nice elbow through Benevidi's hands, connecting with Benevidi's forehead. Protsky working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Protsky working over Benevidi with some ground and pound. Benevidi looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Protsky has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Protsky pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Protsky breaks from Benevidi's wrist control and lands an elbow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Protsky is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Benevidi is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Benevidi flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Protsky anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Benevidi and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Protsky slips an arm under Benevidi chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Protsky has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Protsky is squeezing on Benevidi like an anaconda would it's prey. Benevidi fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
