Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Giorgio Jacques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asmir Zslevski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Giorgio Jacques!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Asmir Zslevski!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Jacques or perhaps it was just good defense by Zslevski which made him look bad.
Zslevski slaps away a takedown attempt from Jacques, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jacques.
Zslevski tries to improve position but can't.
Zslevski sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Asmir Zslevski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Jacques has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Zslevski has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.
Jacques sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Zslevski is trying for a kimura here. Jacques looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Zslevski wins by kimura!
