Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Karpov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Silev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karpov comes to the cage accompanied by Villieläin - Voittamaton. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Karpov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Silev! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silev misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from Silev. Silev lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like Ivan Karpov has been cut. Silev loads up on a big right hand but Karpov slips the punch. Karpov takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Silev looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Karpov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Silev trying to control but Karpov postures up.
Karpov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Silev's head. Silev is looking to control Karpov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Silev avoid being mounted? Karpov thows a huge punch but Silev dodges it nicely.
Silev is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Karpov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Karpov's back! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Silev is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Karpov has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Karpov tries to roll but Silev sticks to his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silev trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Silev has good solid back control here. Silev should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Silev looking to break Karpov's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Karpov remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Silev will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Silev looks gassed! Karpov is in bad spot here.
Karpov has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Silev looking for the choke but no joy. Karpov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silev on the ground. Silev is striking well from the back but Karpov escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being. Silev is thwarting Karpov's attempts to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silev trying to pass the guard but Karpov defending well. Karpov wants to control but Silev is keeping busy and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silev is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Karpov wants to get back to full guard. Silev looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Karpov takes the fight into the clinch. Karpov manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silev advances position into side control! Silev throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Karpov gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Karpov has given up his back here. Will Silev look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Silev trying to control. Silev is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Karpov taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Silev.
