The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cesar gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rosholt to score an easy takedown into full guard. Rosholt tries to free his leg and advance position but Cesar is retaining full guard. Rosholt is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Rosholt avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rosholt distracts Cesar with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Cesar is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rosholt is aware though and is defending well. Rosholt passes into half guard. Cesar actively working from the bottom here. Rosholt is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Cesar looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Rosholt is taking a breather. Cesar says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rosholt connects with a nice short shot to Cesar's temple.
It looks like Leonidus Cesar has been cut. Rosholt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rosholt is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Cesar looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rosholt trying to control the pace. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Rosholt is nestled in close to Cesar, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. That has opened up Leonidus Cesar's cut even more. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rosholt lands a big elbow - Cesar is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Rosholt!
