The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldrin throws a head kick but Powers moves out of range.
Aldrin lands with a slapping head kick.


It looks like Kyle Powers has been cut.
Aldrin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Aldrin misses with the combination.
Aldrin shoots for a double leg takedown but Powers sprawls well. He's pushed Aldrin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Powers decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Powers is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
