Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gichin Funakoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Haim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haim is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Black And Yellow. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gichin Funakoshi! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corey Haim! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Haim looks for a takedown but Funakoshi sprawls well. Haim misses with a jab, cross combination.
Funakoshi throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Nice shot by Haim. Funakoshi dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Funakoshi throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Funakoshi cracks a nice hook into Haim's ribs. Haim walks into a stiff left hand from Funakoshi. Funakoshi throws a good cross that connects.
Funakoshi shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Haim is trying to defend but Funakoshi finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Funakoshi is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Haim is squirming around, avoiding Funakoshi's attempts to control the action. Funakoshi working Haim over with strikes here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Funakoshi jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Haim manages to avoid the submission attempt. Funakoshi goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Haim rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Funakoshi's guard! Nice work there by Haim! Funakoshi tries to land a sweep but no joy. Funakoshi keeping moving, preventing Haim from controlling successfully. Haim controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Haim pushing down on Funakoshi's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Haim looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Funakoshi pushes Haim off and gets back to his feet. Haim changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Funakoshi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Funakoshi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Haim wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Haim tries for a kimura but Funakoshi is defending well. Funakoshi tries to bench press Haim off him but Haim keeps the position. Haim lands a nice forearm strike. Haim wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Funakoshi, who protects the arm well. Funakoshi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Funakoshi is pressing down on Haim's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Funakoshi keeping full guard, as Haim tries to pass. Haim throwing strikes but missing. Funakoshi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Funakoshi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Haim gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Haim throwing strikes from guard but Funakoshi blocks nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Funakoshi keeping moving, preventing Haim from controlling successfully. Haim tries to free his leg and advance position but Funakoshi is retaining full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Funakoshi moves out of range of the strikes. Haim takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Gichin Funakoshi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Funakoshi tests Haim's chin there with a solid looking shot. Funakoshi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Haim sprawls well initially but Funakoshi persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Funakoshi seems to be looking for submissions.
Funakoshi not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Funakoshi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Haim wants to control but Funakoshi is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gichin Funakoshi dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Funakoshi slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Haim has a takedown stuffed. Funakoshi digs a good hook to Haim's body.
Corey Haim is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Haim has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Funakoshi finds it's way round the side to connect with Haim's head. Funakoshi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Haim's guard. Funakoshi stands up from guard. Let's bang! Funakoshi misses with a few strikes there.
Funakoshi lands a head shot. Haim gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Funakoshi counters with a nice double leg into side control. Haim won't be happy with that. Funakoshi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Haim keeps working. Funakoshi decides to stand back up. Funakoshi steps back and let's Haim get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Funakoshi jabs at Haim's body. Funakoshi catches Haim with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Funakoshi dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Haim shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Funakoshi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Gichin Funakoshi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Corey Haim. Haim is breathing heavily. Haim takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Funakoshi keeps the fight on the outside. Haim moves out of range as Funakoshi strikes. Funakoshi scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Haim is trying to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Funakoshi looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Funakoshi is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Haim is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Gichin Funakoshi! Gichin Funakoshi retains his lightweight title!
