The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karistov looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Karistov not doing much here.
Karistov wants to pass the guard but Den is defending well.
Karistov missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Karistov throwing shots but Den is blocking nicely.
Den kicks off Karistov and gets to his feet.
Karistov shoots for a takedown but Den saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Karistov lands a nice shot to the body.

Den shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Den was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Den has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Karistov's face.

Den lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
