Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roger Clemens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Devlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Devlin has chosen sandstorm as his entrance music. Nick Devlin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roger Clemens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Devlin! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Devlin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Devlin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Devlin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Devlin tries to move to mount but Clemens blocks the move with his legs. Clemens gets back to half guard. Clemens is trying to stand.

Devlin passes to full mount! Devlin looking for a guillotine from mount but Clemens is having none of it. Devlin goes for an armbar but Clemens turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Clemens. Devlin looks gassed! Devlin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Clemens is one step ahead there.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Clemens jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Devlin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Devlin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Devlin closes the distance and clinches up with Clemens, looking for a takedown. Devlin pushes Clemens against the cage but Clemens circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Clemens is fighting it off but Devlin persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Clemens's guard against the cage. Devlin tries to free his leg and advance position but Clemens is retaining full guard. Devlin postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Clemens is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Devlin, into his guard. Devlin looking for a sweep. Not yet Devlin, not yet. Clemens really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Devlin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Clemens is looking to escape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Devlin shoots and misses and Clemens counters with a nice kick to the body. Devlin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Clemens counters with a left to the body.

Devlin tries to score a body lock takedown but Clemens shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Devlin works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Devlin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Clemens is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Clemens has escaped and now he's on top! Devlin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Clemens can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Clemens preventing the sweep. Devlin has his feet on Clemens's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Devlin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Clemens pinned against the cage. Clemens gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Clemens tries to clinch but fails miserably and Devlin counters with a left and a right that stings Clemens. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Clemens lands a nice short elbow. Clemens takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Clemens working over Devlin with some ground and pound. Devlin looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Clemens seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Devlin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Clemens will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Devlin passes easily into side control. Nice work. Clemens is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Devlin shoots in and drives through. Clemens sprawls well. Devlin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Clemens swivels though and keeps the full guard. Clemens is trying to control the position but Devlin postures up. Devlin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Clemens looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Clemens looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Clemens! Clemens working the ground and pound from side control. Devlin gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Devlin wants to stand back up but Clemens manages to pass into side control.

Clemens is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Devlin's shoulder. That is not cool. Devlin looks to move to half guard but instead Clemens has passed into mount! Damn! Clemens controlling from the full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Devlin regains half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Devlin gets full guard. Devlin is looking for a triangle but Clemens pushes his legs off easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Devlin is on top in guard.
Devlin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Devlin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Clemens regains half guard. Roger Clemens has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Devlin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Clemens defends it well.
And that's the end of the fight! Nick Devlin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Devlin winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
