Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Yuri Troshenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jones Maxwell! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maxwell throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Maxwell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Troshenko looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Troshenko takes a shot right to the bread basket. Maxwell scores with a jab to the body. Troshenko takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Maxwell moves into the clinch. Maxwell wants to get back to striking at distance but Troshenko won't allow it.
Maxwell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Maxwell scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Troshenko takes one to the chin there. Troshenko takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Maxwell works Troshenko's body with a nice hook. The fight moves into the clinch position. Maxwell lands a hook that snaps the head of Troshenko backwards. Troshenko drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Maxwell lands with a light punch inside. Maxwell tries to break free but Troshenko pushes him back against the cage. Maxwell wants to break the clinch but can't.

Maxwell comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maxwell scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Troshenko is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Maxwell lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Maxwell cracks a nice hook into Troshenko's ribs. Danga de danga de dang - Maxwell scores with a four punch combination! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Maxwell rushes Troshenko and presses him up against the cage. Troshenko prevents Maxwell from breaking the clinch. Maxwell is trying to break the clinch but Troshenko has him pressed against the cage. Maxwell lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Maxwell wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Troshenko has him pressed against the cage. Maxwell breaks the clinch.
Maxwell gets in close and instigates a clinch. Maxwell tries to break the clinch but Troshenko is controlling the position. Maxwell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Maxwell has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Troshenko is trying to drag Maxwell to the mat but Maxwell just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Maxwell digs a right hand underneath Troshenko's ribcage. Troshenko let out a lung full of air as it connected. Maxwell lands with a right to the head. Maxwell drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Troshenko tries to keep at a distance but Maxwell has taken the fight into the clinch. Troshenko has Maxwell pressed against the cage, preventing Maxwell from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Maxwell pulls guard. Maxwell lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Troshenko! Maxwell with the ground and pound from mount. Troshenko is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Troshenko tries to get out of the position. Maxwell throws some wild stikes that Troshenko manages to avoid easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maxwell throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Troshenko because Maxwell loaded up on that one. Maxwell cracks Troshenko with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Troshenko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Maxwell's waist but Maxwell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Troshenko off to one side. Maxwell tries to clinch but Troshenko moves out of range. Jones Maxwell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Maxwell lands with a straight right. Troshenko didn't see that one coming. A left and a right from Maxwell both land. Nice combination. Troshenko swats away the attempt to clinch by Maxwell. Jones Maxwell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Maxwell clinches. Maxwell is trying to force a seperation but Troshenko has the dominant position. Troshenko is working for takedown but Maxwell is calmly controlling the position for now. Maxwell pulls Troshenko into guard.
Troshenko prevents Maxwell from getting back to his feet. Troshenko throws a strike but Maxwell rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Maxwell controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Maxwell is looking to work some ground and pound but Troshenko has wrist control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Troshenko is working an open guard so Maxwell takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Maxwell is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Maxwell slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Maxwell lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Maxwell. Maxwell with a jab. Maxwell wants to clinch up but Troshenko keeps it at a distance. Maxwell lands an overhand right. Maxwell doesn't manage to clinch there - Troshenko circles away.
Maxwell closes the distance and clinches. Maxwell wants to get back to striking at distance but Troshenko won't allow it.

Troshenko closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Maxwell lunges at Troshenko with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Troshenko's hand. Maxwell ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Maxwell moves into range and clinches up with Troshenko. Maxwell has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Troshenko is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Troshenko thows a big elbow that misses. Maxwell throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Troshenko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Maxwell looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Troshenko circles away from the clinch attempt.
Troshenko takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Troshenko shoots in for a takedown but Maxwell shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Maxwell lands a head shot. Maxwell connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Maxwell tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Troshenko paws at him with a jab and circles away. Maxwell tries to clinch there but Troshenko circles away.
Donk. Maxwell catches Troshenko right on the button with a cross. Maxwell has Troshenko up against the cage in a clinch.
Maxwell lands a shot to the body. Maxwell blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A short right from Maxwell on the inside. Maxwell wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Troshenko misses with a short punch on the inside. Jones Maxwell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Troshenko doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

And that's the end of the fight! Jones Maxwell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Maxwell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
