Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Oak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gary Oak looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Rock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gary Oak! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rock misses with a jab, cross combination.
Oak lands a jab. Oak ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rock moves away. Rock fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Oak sprawls well initially but Rock persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Rock thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Oak's head. Oak avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Rock. Rock is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Rock stands up and beckons Oak to join him on the feet. Rock throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Oak was covering up waiting for the punch and Rock finishes the takedown easily into guard. Oak looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Rock throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Oak works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Rock loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Rock stays in close to Oak's body and controls the position. Oak preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rock stands and steps away. Oak gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Rock stuffs the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rock tries to clinch but Oak is having none of it. Oak is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Oak tries to clinch up. No luck for Rock with that takedown attempt. Rock closes this distance looking for a takedown but Oak circles away. Oak misses with a combination
and Rock counters with a takedown into side control. Rock slows the pace down. Rock decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rock shoots in looking for a takedown. Oak tries to sprawl out of it but Rock keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Oak manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Rock. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rock tries to bum rush Oak with a series of wild strikes but Oak uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rock will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rock is trying hard to land a takedown here. Oak sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A head kick from Oak lands but Rock takes it in his stride. Oak is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rock is defended easily by Oak.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rock takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Oak lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Rock dives in and grabs Oak's left leg, looking for a takedown. Oak pushes down on Rock's head and hops out. Oak paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Rock gets caught flat footed, as Oak shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Rock looking to hit a scissor sweep but Oak is one step ahead there. Rock had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Oak defends it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Rock dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rock misses with a takedown attempt and Oak counters by moving into the clinch. Rock tries to pull guard but Oak won't allow it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Rock. That's going to take a lot out of him. Oak gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Rock.
Rock tries to land knees in the clinch but Oak avoids the damage to the body. Rock wants to stall.
Oak decides to pull guard. Rock wants to control from the top but Oak keeps moving. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rock is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Oak is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Oak is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rock wants to control from the top but Oak keeps moving. Rock has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Oak wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rock postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Oak gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Oak trying to keep a closed guard but Rock is proving a slippery customer.
Rock looking to pass the guard. Oak pushes Rock off and scrambles back to his feet.
John Rock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rock thows a leg kick but Oak checks it letting Oak counter with a right hand. Rock is trying hard to land a takedown here. Oak sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Rock fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Oak, pushing him back against the cage. Oak manages to break the clinch.
Rock drives through and clinches with Oak against the cage.
Oak's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rock fails with the takedown and Oak counters with a nice uppercut. Oak lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Rock or perhaps it was just good defense by Oak which made him look bad. Oak throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Rock. Rock has his takedown stuffed and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Oak throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rock clinches with his opponent.
Rock has Oak pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Oak manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rock tries to stall but Oak uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Oak manages to break the clinch.
Rock cracks the inside of Oak's front leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Gary Oak will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Oak fakes the leg kick and cracks Rock in the body. Rock tries for a takedown but Oak sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Rock shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Oak counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. John Rock overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rock is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Oak is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Rock looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rock wants to stand and escape but Oak is having none of it. Oak is stalling in the full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Oak is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A left and a right from Rock both land. Nice combination. Rock tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Rock has his takedown stuffed and Oak counters with a body kick that stops Rock in his tracks momentarily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Rock. That's going to take a lot out of him.

He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Rock is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Rock trying to control but Oak is working from the bottom. Rock wants to stand but Oak is controlling his posture from full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Oak holds on and takes a little breather. Rock throws a big right hand that misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Gary Oak comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Oak has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
