Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Estefan del Sarto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jyrska Velmu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velmu tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

del Sarto gets a clinch.

del Sarto throws a leg kick but Velmu sees it coming and checks it nicely.
del Sarto jabs at Velmu's body.

del Sarto bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Velmu tries to escape but del Sarto is in control.

del Sarto stands up and beckons Velmu to his feet.
del Sarto tries a head kick but it misses.
del Sarto shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Velmu as he jumps to the side.

so del Sarto counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Velmu controls del Sarto momentarily but del Sarto frees himself.

Velmu pushes del Sarto off and scrambles back to his feet.
A nice combination there by Velmu.
Velmu lands a really nice looking cross but del Sarto seems unphased.

del Sarto is trying to stick to Velmu's back but Velmu is turning into del Sarto. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in del Sarto's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Velmu.

del Sarto escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Velmu.
Velmu lands a nice leg kick that just misses del Sarto's sensitive parts.
Velmu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but del Sarto moves away.
Velmu clinches but del Sarto breaks the clinch
and del Sarto counters with an inside leg kick.

del Sarto moves into range and clinches up with Velmu.
Velmu wants to get back to striking at distance but del Sarto won't allow it.
Velmu is looking to break free of the clinch but del Sarto has double underhooks.
del Sarto tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Velmu just stands there and leans against the cage.

Velmu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Velmu has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes del Sarto off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

del Sarto is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. del Sarto gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. del Sarto gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. del Sarto apologises and we restart here on the feet.

del Sarto fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Velmu is out of range.

The referee asks del Sarto politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. del Sarto prefers to stall for the moment though.

del Sarto throws a strike aimed at the side of Velmu's head but Velmu avoids it well.
Velmu is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked del Sarto off and has taken his back!
del Sarto looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Velmu is controlling the position but del Sarto somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.

del Sarto takes a little break here. Velmu wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for del Sarto, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
