Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Bond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Lee!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Bond rushes Lee and presses him up against the cage.

Bond breaks the clinch.
Bond throws a nice head kick!


It looks like Dan Lee has been cut.
Bond throws a head kick but Lee moves out of range.
Bond moves out of range of the body kick from Lee.
Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bond circles away quickly and effectively.
Bond scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Bond fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lee wants to clinch
and Bond counters with a head kick. That will keep Lee thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Lee throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bond counters with a big head kick but Lee shrugs it off.
Bond shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lee defends it nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bond lands with a kick to the temple. Lee shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Bond throws a leg kick which misses Lee's front leg but catches the back leg as Lee tries to avoid it.
No luck for Bond with that takedown attempt.

and Bond counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Bond lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Bond with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Bond fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lee throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bond was well out of range. Poor timing from Lee.

Bond escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bond looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Dan Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bond shoots in and drives through. Lee sprawls well.
Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bond circles away quickly and effectively.
Bond looks to land a combination but Lee avoids it well.

and Bond counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bond.

Bond's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Bond closes the distance and clinches.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Bond is trying to drag Lee to the mat but Lee just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Bond pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A chopping leg kick lands by Bond.
Bond tries a head kick but it misses.
Bond takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Lee throws a head kick that misses
and Bond counters with a nice body kick.

Bond lands a nice looking kick to the body. Lee takes a step back to recover.
Lee connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Lee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Dan Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight stays on the outside here - Lee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lee throws a series of punches but Bond avoids them all with ease.
A head kick from Bond lands but Lee takes it in his stride.

Bond clinches up with Lee and pushes him back against the cage.

Bond's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bond tries to clinch but Lee is having none of it.
Nice body punch from Lee.
Bond shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lee but Lee pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lee throws a right and a left that Bond avoids nicely.

so Bond counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Bond trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.

Bond throws and elbow that misses. Lee uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bond's guard. Nice move by Lee!
Bond will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bond controls Lee momentarily but Lee frees himself.
Lee must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lee is looking to stand up but Bond won't let him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Bond dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Bond lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Lee swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bond throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
James Bond is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bond has closed the distance and engaged Lee in a clinch.

Bond escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bond moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Lee misses with a two punch combination.

Bond darts in and clinches Lee up against the cage.
Lee takes a shot to the head.

Bond breaks from the clinch.
Lee wants to clinch up but Bond keeps it at a distance.
Bond lands a nice leg kick that just misses Lee's sensitive parts.
Bond thumps Lee with a low kick.
Bond scores with a push kick.
Lee takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Lee is looking to clinch but Bond is avoiding it.
Bond keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lee.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lee falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bond counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Lee is lucky that one didn't land flush.
No luck for Bond with that takedown attempt.

and Bond makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Lee really felt that one!

Lee tries to clinch but Bond is having none of it.
James Bond is winning the standup battle so far.
Lee misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Donk. Lee catches Bond right on the button with a cross.
Lee throws a right hand that Bond ducks under and follows up with a left that Bond also avoids with ease.
Lee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bond moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

A frustrated look appears on Lee's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Bond breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bond scores with a head kick.
Bond swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lee.
Lee looks to clinch

and Bond counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Bond trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.
Lee preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Bond pushing down on Lee's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Lee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bond. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bond wants to control but Lee is keeping him busy.
Bond wants to pass to mount but Lee is defending the position.
Bond thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bond moves into full mount! Lee won't be happy about that!

Lee throws a combination that misses
and Bond counters with a good, hard body kick but Lee shrugs it off.
Lee has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Bond.
Lee throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bond counters with a low kick, right behind Lee 's knee.
Lee avoids a punch combination nicely.
A right-left combo lands from Bond.

Bond manages to break the clinch.
Lee on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Bond is looking to clinch but Lee is avoiding it.
Bond throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lee sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Bond fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lee's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Lee bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Bond forces Lee back against the cage and clinches.

Bond wants the takedown. Lee is fighting it off but Bond persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lee's guard against the cage.
Lee is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bond is controlling him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Bond darts in and clinches Lee up against the cage.

and Bond counters with a three punch combo that has Lee backing up. Lee nods at Bond to acknowledge the strikes.

and Bond counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Bond has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

James Bond is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
