Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mustang James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winky Monk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monk has chosen elephant man haters as his entrance music. Mustang James has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mustang James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Winky Monk!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
James tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A jab from James does it's job there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Monk looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Monk throws a combination that misses

and James counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
James passes Monk's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
James tries to stand but can't do so whilst Monk controls his leg.
Monk is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Monk looking for submissions off his back.
Monk pushes James off looking to stand but James dives back in and keeps control.

James prevents Monk from standing back up.

James wants to work for an arm triangle but Monk is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

James is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Monk sees it coming and defends easily.

Monk is looking to escape.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Monk is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

James is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
James is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Monk still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Monk has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Monk is trying to get an arm triangle but James is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Monk goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, James rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Monk's guard! Nice work there by James!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

James stands up from Monk's guard - James perhaps looking for a knockout.
Monk circles away from the clinch attempt
and Monk counters with a series of strikes. James will be more careful next time no doubt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
James tries to close the distance and clinch up but Monk swats him away and circles back towards the center.
James throws a sloppy head kick and Monk moves out of range easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mustang James dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


James throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Monk counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Monk.

Monk breaks from the clinch.
James throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Monk counters with a nice body shot.
James tries to close the distance and clinch but Monk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Monk tries to clinch up but James circles away and keeps his distance.
Monk scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Mustang James has been cut.
James throws a lazy body kick
and Monk counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops James! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Monk!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Winky Monk!
