St Piper comes into the arena with In The Morning blaring out of the sound system. Montillo has chosen I hear Voices as his entrance music. Totoy Montillo has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Totoy Montillo! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Piper connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
It looks like Totoy Montillo has been cut. St Piper just misses with a punch to the body.
St Piper fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Montillo on the side of the head. St Piper shoots for a takedown but Montillo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's going to take a lot out of him. Montillo tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and St Piper is able to avoid easily. Montillo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but St Piper paws at him with a jab and circles away. St Piper throws a head kick that misses and Montillo counters into the clinch. Nicely done. St Piper scores with a shot to the side of Montillo's head. Montillo is looking to break free of the clinch but St Piper has double underhooks. St Piper lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. St Piper lands an elbow inside. St Piper displaying some good clinch control by pressing Montillo up against the cage. St Piper lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. St Piper breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. St Piper throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Montillo's waist but Montillo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing St Piper off to one side.

A head kick by St Piper misses and Montillo counters with a nice double leg into side control. St Piper won't be happy with that. Montillo wants to control but St Piper is keeping him busy. St Piper might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Montillo misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Montillo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by St Piper, who protects the arm well. Montillo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. St Piper is not content to let Montillo control the position. Montillo goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, St Piper rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Montillo's guard! Nice work there by St Piper! Montillo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with St Piper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Montillo looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Montillo is trying to control the position but St Piper postures up. Montillo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Montillo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. St Piper clinches with his opponent.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. St Piper is figuring out what he wants to do next. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Montillo is trying to get back to full guard. St Piper is trying for a kimura here. Montillo looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! St Piper wins by kimura!
