Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Estacio da Fonseca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riki Oh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think da Fonseca might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to "Chokechain" - 3oh!3. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Estacio da Fonseca! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Riki Oh! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oh lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Estacio da Fonseca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. da Fonseca uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Oh. Oh lands a slapping body shot.
Oh scores with a nice right hand.
Oh fakes high and swings low for a body shot but da Fonseca manages to avoid it. da Fonseca tries to move into range but Oh moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Oh thows a left - swing and a miss! da Fonseca takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Oh leaves da Fonseca with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. da Fonseca dives in and grabs Oh's left leg, looking for a takedown. Oh pushes down on da Fonseca's head and hops out. da Fonseca scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Oh lands a jab-cross combination. Oh jabbing away but nothing is landing. Oh swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by da Fonseca. da Fonseca just misses with a punch to the body.
da Fonseca looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Oh is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Oh is trying to control the position from the bottom.
da Fonseca trying to control the position from guard on top but Oh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. da Fonseca is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Oh looking to hit a scissor sweep but da Fonseca is one step ahead there. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as da Fonseca accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. da Fonseca sitting in guard, not really doing much. da Fonseca wants to control from the top but Oh keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. da Fonseca needs to keep his hands up - Oh had a free shot at his head there. Oh getting the better of the striking in that exchange. da Fonseca shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Oh as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Estacio da Fonseca. That's going to take a lot out of him. Oh throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Oh slips under a jab from da Fonseca. Oh slips under a jab from da Fonseca. da Fonseca feints and as Oh raises his hands in defense, da Fonseca changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. da Fonseca landing with the ground and pound. Oh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with da Fonseca. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Oh can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as da Fonseca controls the pace. da Fonseca trying to control but Oh is working from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. da Fonseca throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Oh works some decent striking defense from the bottom. da Fonseca throws and elbow that misses. Oh uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in da Fonseca's guard. Nice move by Oh! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. da Fonseca working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Oh doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. da Fonseca looking for a guillotine here but Oh defends easily.
da Fonseca has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Oh got a little sloppy there for a moment and da Fonseca has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Oh has managed to get both his arms back between da Fonseca's legs - danger averted. da Fonseca manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Oh manages to get himself to full guard.
da Fonseca is working Oh over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Oh not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Estacio da Fonseca dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A combination from da Fonseca does no damage. da Fonseca has a takedown stuffed. Oh defending well as da Fonseca loads up on a big left hand. Good shot there by Oh. Oh throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A shot to the liver by Oh. Beautiful body shot. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! The fighters circling - Oh throws out the jab but it was never going to land. da Fonseca misses the jab. da Fonseca lands with a right hand. da Fonseca just misses with a punch to the body.
da Fonseca lands with an uppercut that bounces Oh off the cage and back into rage. da Fonseca shoots for a takedown but Oh saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. da Fonseca waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Oh. Oh throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck da Fonseca on the side of the head. Oh works da Fonseca's body with a nice hook. Oh throws a wild combination but nothing lands. da Fonseca tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Oh swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Estacio da Fonseca. That's going to take a lot out of him. da Fonseca scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Oh trying to control here.

Oh catches da Fonseca with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! da Fonseca throws a right and a left that Oh avoids nicely. da Fonseca fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Oh avoids it really well and circles away. Oh gets caught flat footed, as da Fonseca shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. da Fonseca stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Oh swivels though and keeps the full guard. Oh keeping moving, preventing da Fonseca from controlling successfully. da Fonseca trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Oh is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. da Fonseca stopping the sweep attempt from Oh. da Fonseca in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Oh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. da Fonseca trying to control but Oh is working from the bottom.

Oh throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck da Fonseca on the side of the head. da Fonseca is trying hard to land a takedown here. Oh sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. da Fonseca looks for a takedown but Oh sprawls well. Oh misses with the combination.
Oh looks to land a left hand but da Fonseca moved out of range nicely. Riki Oh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Oh's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Oh duly obliges. Oh slaps away a takedown attempt from da Fonseca, before circling back to the center of the mat. da Fonseca jabbing away but nothing is landing. da Fonseca dives in and grabs Oh's left leg, looking for a takedown. Oh pushes down on da Fonseca's head and hops out. Oh takes a shot to the body in his stride.
A lazy left from Oh finds it's target. Left hook, right uppercut from Oh.
da Fonseca is rocked! Oh connects with a stiff jab that staggers da Fonseca - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Riki Oh!
