Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lenni Mietejarvi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marcelo Garcia! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garcia leaves Mietejarvi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Garcia tries to clinch but Mietejarvi moves out of range. Mietejarvi wants to clinch and Garcia holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Garcia has picked Mietejarvi up - he's going for a ride! Garcia dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Garcia is looking for a kimura but Mietejarvi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Garcia to get the leverage. Mietejarvi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Garcia on the ground. Mietejarvi manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garcia prevents Mietejarvi from getting back to his feet. Mietejarvi looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Garcia trying to control the position from guard on top but Mietejarvi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Garcia postures up in Mietejarvi's guard and throws a big left but Mietejarvi blocks it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mietejarvi throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Marcelo Garcia has been cut. Mietejarvi throws a head kick that misses. Mietejarvi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Garcia's guard. Garcia is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Garcia throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Garcia has a closed guard, preventing Mietejarvi from standing up. Mietejarvi is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Garcia has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Mietejarvi is looking to defend but Garcia has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Mietejarvi! Garcia pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Mietejarvi taps out and this one is all over!
