Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Walmin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Riot. Stevie Reyes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Patrick Walmin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stevie Reyes! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reyes fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Walmin on the side of the head. No luck for Walmin with that takedown attempt. Reyes ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Walmin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Reyes sprawls well. Reyes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Walmin gets slowly back to his feet. Walmin throws a sloppy body shot
and Reyes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Walmin misses with a combination
and Reyes counters with a right hand to the body. Reyes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Walmin. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Patrick Walmin. That's going to take a lot out of him. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Walmin is defended easily by Reyes. Walmin is breathing heavily. Reyes gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Reyes wants to stand but Walmin is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reyes is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Reyes blocks an elbow strike from Walmin.
Walmin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Reyes just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Walmin can't get the takedown.
Reyes wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Walmin looking for a takedown. Reyes can't break the clinch.
Walmin goes for a takedown attempt but Reyes pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Walmin ducks right into an uppercut from Reyes. Walmin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Reyes counters with a nice uppercut. Walmin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Reyes scores with a three punch combo!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reyes's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Reyes duly obliges. Walmin takes a shot right to the bread basket. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Reyes!
Danga de danga de dang - Reyes scores with a four punch combination! Walmin looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Nice uppercut lands for Reyes. That snapped Walmin's head back.
Patrick Walmin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reyes connects with a body shot. Reyes jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Stevie Reyes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Walmin takes one on the button. Reyes lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Reyes. Reyes lands an overhand right.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheers as Reyes lands an impressive looking overhand right. Walmin doesn't seem phased though. Walmin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Reyes scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Walmin is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Reyes circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Walmin to the canvas! Walmin doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Reyes keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stevie Reyes!
