PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hercule Satan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hercule Satan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hercule Satan!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Satan scoring well with a low kick there.
Satan throws a series of punches but Castle avoids them all with ease.

Castle drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Satan wants to get back to his feet but Castle is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Satan is trying to keep Castle in close.
Satan wants to stand and escape but Castle is having none of it.

Castle is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Castle trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Castle drops back looking for a leg! Satan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Satan manages to kick Castle off! Castle jumps back into Satan's guard.
Castle won't allow Satan to sweep him here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nice cross by Satan.
Castle shoots in but Satan avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Satan moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
A head kick misses from Satan.
Satan looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Castle shoots in for a takedown but Satan shows good takedown defense.

Satan tries a head kick but it misses.
Satan throws a lazy right hand but Castle sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Satan throws a head kick but Castle moves out of range.
Satan thuds a left hand into Castle's body.
Castle dives in and grabs Satan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Satan pushes down on Castle's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Castle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Satan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Castle.
Satan throws a sloppy head kick and Castle moves out of range easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Satan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Satan looks to land a left hand but Castle moved out of range nicely.
Castle takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
A thudding body kick lands there by Satan!
Castle is breathing heavily.
Satan thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Castle if he has to take too many more of those.
Hercule Satan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Satan thumps Castle with a low kick.
The crowd cheers as Satan lands an impressive looking overhand right. Castle doesn't seem phased though.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Satan closes the distance and clinches.

Satan with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Satan crunches a lovely knee into Castle's ribcage.
Satan holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Castle tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Satan smiles and moves away.
Castle drops his hands momentarily and Satan needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Castle just on the top of the head. Castle drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Castle - he's done!
