Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Cavero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dider LeBouf! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cavero thows a body shot but no joy. Cavero dodges the punch combination from LeBouf.
A chopping leg kick lands by LeBouf. Cavero fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with LeBouf, pushing him back against the cage. LeBouf breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cavero shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Cavero stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. LeBouf throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
LeBouf moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Juan Cavero has been cut. No joy there for LeBouf, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
LeBouf fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Cavero is out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. LeBouf will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
LeBouf looks gassed! Cavero shoots in for a takedown but LeBouf shows good takedown defense. LeBouf loads up on a big right hand but Cavero slips the punch. LeBouf throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cavero connects with a right hand. LeBouf shakes it off. LeBouf misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nice shot lands for Cavero. The fighters circling - LeBouf throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Dider LeBouf is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cavero wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Cavero fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Cavero looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for LeBouf! LeBouf in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Cavero working LeBouf over with strikes here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Cavero. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A nice elbow there by Cavero. Cavero working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. LeBouf looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Cavero! Submission of the night perhaps?
