Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Schmeling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Harris has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Max Schmeling's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Max Schmeling! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paul Harris! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Schmeling's half guard. Schmeling moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Harris postures up.
Schmeling looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Harris puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Schmeling wants to control but Harris is keeping busy.
Schmeling missing with punches from the bottom.
Harris is keen to just control but Schmeling is a slippery customer. Harris seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Schmeling is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest. Harris trying to mount his opponent but Schmeling defends it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Schmeling is looking to improve his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Schmeling throws a series of strikes that have Harris backpedaling.
It looks like Paul Harris has been cut. Schmeling drives through and clinches with Harris against the cage.
Harris is fighting off a takedown attempt but Schmeling is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Harris to the mat. Harris regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Schmeling with a flurry of punches that miss. Schmeling is in close to Harris's body, working some short punches and elbows. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Harris working for a triangle but Schmeling defends it easily.
Schmeling stands up from Harris's guard - Schmeling perhaps looking for a knockout. Schmeling scores with a one two! Harris had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Harris looks gassed! Schmeling misses with a takedown attempt and Harris counters with a nice double leg into guard. Harris preventing the sweep. Schmeling trying to control the position.
Harris is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Harris gets to his feet. Schmeling looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Harris shoots in for a takedown but Schmeling shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Schmeling tries to bum rush Harris with a series of wild strikes but Harris uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Harris tries for a takedown but Schmeling circles away easily and Schmeling counters with a lovely shot to the body. Schmeling lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Harris circles away quickly and effectively. Schmeling misses with a head kick.
Paul Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Harris closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Harris wants to take a breather but Schmeling is having none of it. Schmeling is trying to control but can't.
Harris prevents Schmeling from improving his position. Harris frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harris trying to control but Schmeling is having none of it. Harris has control of Schmeling's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Schmeling regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Harris is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Schmeling is surviving well by controlling Harris's body position as best he can. Schmeling is looking to improve his position but Harris isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Harris working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Schmeling turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Harris off and cradles Schmeling's limp body as Harris celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Paul Harris!
