The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin forces makunouchi back against the cage and clinches.
Franklin misses with a body punch.
Franklin tries to pull guard but makunouchi won't allow it.

Franklin is hanging on to makunouchi's back as he tries to escape.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
makunouchi is working hard here to advance position.

Franklin has hold of makunouchi's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and makunouchi manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
makunouchi has left one of his arms exposed and Franklin doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. makunouchi screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
