Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Soldadito Cojo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Numero Cero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Soldadito Cojo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Numero Cero!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Cero.
Cojo fails with a takedown attempt.
No luck for Cojo with that takedown attempt.
Cero clobbers Cojo with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Cero throws a hook to the side of Cojo's head but Cojo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Cojo blocks a jab.
Cojo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cero finds it's way round the side to connect with Cojo's head.
Cero is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cojo.

Cojo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Cero is looking to improve his position.

Cojo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Cero is looking to escape.

Cojo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Cojo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cero can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Cojo jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Cero manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Cero is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Cero wants to get back to his feet but Cojo drags him back down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cero tries to buck Cojo off but Cojo is having none of it.

Cojo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Cero tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Cojo tries for a kimura but Cero is defending well.
Cojo prevents Cero from escaping the position.

Cojo is working to tighten is grip on Cero's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Cero has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Cojo is really squeezing tight and eventually Cero passes out! Cojo breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Soldadito Cojo!
