Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Henry Mcalister! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andy Booth! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Booth slips a jab and a cross from Mcalister.
Booth sends Mcalister crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Booth is motioning to the referee to let Mcalister up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Henry Mcalister has been cut. Booth missing with a left hand there. Mcalister was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Mcalister takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Mcalister is rocked! Booth fails to land with a series of punches.
Booth swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mcalister gets in close and instigates a clinch. A body shot lands from Mcalister.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Booth swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Mcalister manages to break the clinch.
Booth falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mcalister counters with a shoot takedown. Booth fights it but they end up in guard. Mcalister decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Booth misses with a straight right. No joy there for Booth, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Booth lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Mcalister slips a straight right by Booth. Booth throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Mcalister lands with a shot to the body. Booth looks gassed! Mcalister misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Booth.
Booth moves away from the strike by Mcalister.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcalister misses with a two punch combination.
Andy Booth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Booth has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Andy Booth has been cut. Mcalister catches Booth with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! This has been an exciting period of action! Mcalister looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Mcalister has closed the distance and engaged Booth in a clinch.
Mcalister pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mcalister closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Booth to the mat! Booth manages to get full guard. Mcalister trying to control but Booth is working from the bottom. Mcalister thows a big elbow that misses. Mcalister stays in close to Booth's body and controls the position. Mcalister trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcalister wants to stand but Booth has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Mcalister looking to pass the guard. Booth is looking to stand up but Mcalister isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. The fighters circle momentarily. Booth darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Booth ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mcalister moves away. Booth throws a combination that misses and Mcalister counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Mcalister. Mcalister is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Booth gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Mcalister stalls. Mcalister tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A nice right hand lands inside from Mcalister. Mcalister lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Booth backwards. Mcalister working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Nice body punch from Mcalister. Mcalister manages to break the clinch.
Mcalister takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Mcalister misses with the combination.
Mcalister is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Booth's half guard. Booth is trying to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcalister seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Booth is looking to escape. Mcalister trying to control from half guard but Booth is working away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Booth pushes Mcalister off looking to stand but Mcalister dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Henry Mcalister dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Back to the action!
Mcalister uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Booth. Mcalister avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mcalister takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Booth displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mcalister. Booth uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mcalister. Booth fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mcalister on the side of the head. Mcalister clinches up against the cage. Mcalister is trying to drag Booth to the mat but Booth just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Mcalister has Booth pressed against the cage, preventing Booth from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Mcalister gets control of Booth's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mcalister will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Mcalister looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mcalister has a closed guard, preventing Booth from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcalister looking for a guillotine here but Booth defends easily.
Mcalister is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mcalister is looking for a triangle but Booth pushes his legs off easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mcalister is looking for a triangle here but Booth uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Booth decides to stand back up. Booth steps back and let's Mcalister get back to his feet. Andy Booth is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Booth misses with an uppercut. Mcalister saw that one coming. A big left from Booth misses. Booth misses with a double jab
and Mcalister counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Mcalister is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mcalister is stalling here. Booth is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Mcalister seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Booth has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Mcalister is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Mcalister is working hard here to advance position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mcalister can't do much from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Booth lands with an overhand left. Booth jabbing away but nothing is landing. Mcalister throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Booth stuns Mcalister with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Mcalister throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Booth counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. A big left from Mcalister misses. Booth misses with a double jab.
Booth scores with a jab to the body. Booth swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mcalister. Mcalister fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Booth clobbers Mcalister with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. This has been an exciting period of action! Booth misses with a series of wild punches.
Mcalister gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Booth. Oh Mcalister is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Booth throws a monster overhand right that drops Mcalister! Booth follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andy Booth!
