The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fire avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Couro de rato chao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

chao shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fire as he jumps to the side.

chao shoots in and drives through. Fire sprawls well.

Fire throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

chao is looking for a triangle but Fire pushes his legs off easily.

chao has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Fire is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for chao.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Fire thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Fire tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fire has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
