The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Jonson fails to land the takedown.

Unski fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jonson sprawls well initially but Unski persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jonson is trying to stand.
Jonson wants to improve his position but Unski is controlling well.
Jonson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Unski on the ground.
Still in half guard, Unski seems content to control.

Unski is trying to work for a kimura but Jonson is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Unski connects with a nice short shot to Jonson's temple.

Unski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jonson is just riding it out for now. Unski eventually gives up the hold.

Unski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Unski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jonson is looking to regain half guard here but Unski keeps moving and retains side control.

Jonson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Unski is working away from the top position though.

Unski is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jonson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Unski.

Unski is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jonson defends it well.

Unski in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Jonson tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Unski!
