The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir shoots for a double leg takedown but Delaney sprawls well. He's pushed Mir's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mir looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Mir looks to land a combination but Delaney avoids it well.
Mir wants to clinch up but Delaney keeps it at a distance.

Delaney drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Delaney wants to control from the top but Mir keeps moving.

Delaney drops back looking for a leg! Mir is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mir manages to kick Delaney off! Delaney jumps back into Mir's guard.
Delaney won't allow Mir to get back to his feet.

Delaney stays in close to Mir's body and controls the position.

Delaney is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Mir throws out a loose jab but Delaney uses good head movement to avoid it.

Delaney changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mir looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mir tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Mir is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Delaney off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
