The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Josue will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Milicz up against the cage.
Josue tries to pull guard but Milicz holds him up against the cage and eventually Josue drops back down to his feet.

Josue closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Josue is trying to drag Milicz to the mat but Milicz just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

It looks like Ivan Josue has been cut.

Josue fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Milicz manages to avoid it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Josue is defended easily by Milicz.

Milicz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Josue moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Let's hope that Josue has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Josue jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Milicz manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Josue shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Milicz's guard.

Milicz wants to sweep here but Josue controlling him for the moment.

Josue got a little sloppy there for a moment and Milicz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Josue has managed to get both his arms back between Milicz's legs - danger averted.

Josue stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Milicz throws a sloppy head kick and Josue moves out of range easily.

Milicz has had enough of the clinch but Josue keeps him there for the moment.

Josue pushes Milicz back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Josue tries to score a body lock takedown but Milicz shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Milicz wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Josue jumps guard and drags Milicz to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Milicz wants to control from the top but Josue keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
