The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, David Schapiro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lombardi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lombardi fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but McFly is out of range.
McFly slips a straight right by Lombardi.

Lombardi throws and low kick but McFly moves out of range easily.
McFly avoids the head kick by Lombardi.

McFly shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

McFly is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Lombardi reverses the position - he's now on top in McFly's guard.
McFly can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lombardi controls the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

McFly drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lombardi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lombardi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lombardi!

McFly shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lombardi's guard.

McFly postures up in Lombardi's guard and throws a big left but Lombardi blocks it.
McFly wants to control from the top but Lombardi keeps moving.
McFly is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lombardi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
