Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brick Tamlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russell Quark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brick Tamlin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Russell Quark!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tamlin feints and as Quark raises his hands in defense, Tamlin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Quark is trying to control the position but Tamlin postures up.
Tamlin sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Quark keeping moving, preventing Tamlin from controlling successfully.
Tamlin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Quark lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tamlin!

Quark working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Quark thows a huge punch but Tamlin dodges it nicely.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Quark is breathing heavily.
Tamlin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Brick Tamlin just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Quark tries for a takedown but Tamlin circles away easily
and Tamlin counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Quark closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Tamlin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Quark postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Quark accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Quark thows a big elbow that misses.
Quark throws a strike but Tamlin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Tamlin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Quark throws a head kick but Tamlin moves out of range.
Quark swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tamlin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Quark tries to keep at a distance but Tamlin has taken the fight into the clinch.
