The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riberio shoots in and bounces Lilke off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Riberio passes into half guard. Riberio throws a strike but Lilke avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Lilke wants to stand and escape but Riberio is having none of it. Riberio tries to free his leg and advance position but Lilke is retaining full guard. Lilke wants to get back to his feet but Riberio is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Riberio postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lilke is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Riberio, into his guard. Lilke knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Riberio on the ground. Riberio is looking for a triangle but Lilke pushes his legs off easily.

Riberio escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lilke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Riberio looks gassed! Lilke trying to control but Riberio is working from the bottom. Lilke has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Riberio is proving hard to escape from. Riberio throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Lilke stands up and waves to Riberio to follow him. Riberio shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lilke defends it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lilke stuffs the takedown. Lilke moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Lilke slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Riberio looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Tommy Lilke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Marcelo Riberio. Lilke punishes Riberio's body with a nice straight punch. Lilke throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Riberio. Tommy Lilke is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Riberio takes one on the button. Lilke misses with a straight right. Riberio doesn't manage to clinch there - Lilke circles away.
Lilke throws an overhand right that lands on Riberio's shoulder, as Riberio tries to avoid the shot. Riberio displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lilke throws out the jab.

Lilke tries to roll over but Riberio keeps him under control. Lilke is working hard here to advance position. Riberio is working for a submission of some sort.

Riberio is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lilke is just riding it out for now. Riberio eventually gives up the hold. Lilke works his way to full guard. Good work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Riberio with a flurry of punches that miss. Lilke looking for a sweep. Not yet Lilke, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tommy Lilke will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Riberio uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lilke. Riberio dives in and grabs Lilke's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lilke pushes down on Riberio's head and hops out. A punch lands to the side of Riberio 's head but he takes it in his stride. Riberio on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Lilke unloads a knee to the mid-section. Riberio lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Lilke lands with a left to the head. Lilke escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lilke misses with a straight right. Tommy Lilke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Riberio. Tommy Lilke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Marcelo Riberio. Riberio takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lilke misses with a wild combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lilke scores with a one two! Riberio had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Riberio shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Lilke misses with a straight left. Riberio tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Riberio is defended easily by Lilke. Riberio wants to clinch. Lilke fails to land with a series of punches.
Riberio feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lilke keeping full guard, as Riberio tries to pass. Riberio thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The fighters roll with the hold and Lilke manages to kick Riberio off! Riberio jumps back into Lilke's guard. Riberio is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lilke is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lilke has escaped and now he's on top! Riberio wants to get back to his feet but Lilke is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Riberio throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riberio is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lilke defends well. Lilke advances to half guard. Lilke postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Riberio to stand up. Riberio is looking to clinch. Lilke lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Riberio. Lilke throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lilke pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Riberio misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Riberio steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lilke.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riberio on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Tommy Lilke is winning the standup battle so far. Lilke tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A left lands for Lilke. Lilke leaves Riberio with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Tommy Lilke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Marcelo Riberio. Lilke takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Horrible takedown by Riberio or perhaps it was just good defense by Lilke which made him look bad. Riberio uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lilke. Riberio steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lilke. That one must have hurt. Riberio gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Lilke lands a jab to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Riberio. Lilke misses with a low kick. Lilke jabbing away but nothing is landing. Riberio takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Lilke connects with a single shot there. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Riberio. Jab from Lilke. Andre Marcelo Riberio has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lilke fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Lilke lands a jab-cross combination. Tommy Lilke is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Riberio fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
And that's the end of the fight! Tommy Lilke showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lilke, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
