The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Del Rio shoots in for a takedown but Corn shows good takedown defense. Corn throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Del Rio was covering up waiting for the punch and Corn finishes the takedown easily into guard. Corn stands up from Del Rio's guard - Corn perhaps looking for a knockout. Corn moves into the clinch. Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Corn! Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Corn holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Del Rio is looking for a kimura but Corn is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Del Rio to get the leverage.
