Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zhenya Tsiunchik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunner Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tsiunchik is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zhenya Tsiunchik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gunner Armstrong! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Valeri Chadov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tsiunchik shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Tsiunchik is breathing heavily. Tsiunchik won't allow Armstrong to sweep him here. Tsiunchik got a little sloppy there for a moment and Armstrong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tsiunchik has managed to get both his arms back between Armstrong's legs - danger averted. Tsiunchik is looking to work some ground and pound but Armstrong has wrist control. Armstrong tries to land a sweep but no joy. Armstrong is looking to stand up but Tsiunchik isn't so interested in that idea. Tsiunchik throws a strike but Armstrong rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Armstrong must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Armstrong is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Armstrong wants to pass the guard but Tsiunchik is keeping the position. Armstrong is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tsiunchik is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A nice combination there by Armstrong.
Armstrong closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Armstrong lands in his opponent's guard. Armstrong is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Armstrong pushes down on Tsiunchik's leg and manages to get into half guard. Tsiunchik gets full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tsiunchik throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tsiunchik looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Zhenya Tsiunchik will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Tsiunchik shoots and misses and Armstrong counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Armstrong wants to pass to mount but Tsiunchik is defending the position. Armstrong not doing much here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Armstrong's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Tsiunchik tries to kick Armstrong off in order to stand up. Armstrong Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Tsiunchik wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Armstrong takes a little break here. Tsiunchik wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tsiunchik is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Armstrong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tsiunchik. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Armstrong takes advantage of some sloppy striking from Tsiunchik to pass into mount. Armstrong get's back to his feet. Tsiunchik with a lazy takedown attempt and Armstrong counters with a body kick that stops Tsiunchik in his tracks momentarily. Tsiunchik shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Armstrong counters by moving into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zhenya Tsiunchik. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tsiunchik has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Armstrong avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Armstrong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Tsiunchik misses with a takedown attempt and Armstrong counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tsiunchik slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Tsiunchik is looking for a triangle here but Armstrong uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Armstrong controlling the position from side mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gunner Armstrong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Tsiunchik's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Tsiunchik fails with the takedown and Armstrong moves into the clinch. Armstrong has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Tsiunchik uses from the top position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tsiunchik accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Tsiunchik trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Tsiunchik won't allow Armstrong to sweep him here. Tsiunchik in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Tsiunchik loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tsiunchik throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Tsiunchik throwing strikes from guard but Armstrong blocks nicely. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Tsiunchik is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Tsiunchik tries to score a body lock takedown but Armstrong shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Armstrong decides to pull guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tsiunchik thows a big elbow that misses. Tsiunchik throws a strike but Armstrong rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Tsiunchik looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Armstrong looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Tsiunchik is looking to stand up but Armstrong isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Armstrong's corner is telling him to maintain position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Gunner Armstrong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Armstrong has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
