Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dr Murdock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The White Stripes - Ball and Biscuit kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dr Murdock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Jack White!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White tries to score a power double leg takedown but Murdock sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten White somewhat.
White shoots in but Murdock avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Murdock takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
The fighters circling - Murdock throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
White fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Murdock avoids it really well and circles away.
Dr Murdock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack White.

Good leg kick by Murdock there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jack White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Murdock lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

White uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Murdock.
White changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Murdock tries to avoid it but White manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Murdock to the ground. Murdock escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

White connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
White throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Murdock counters with a low kick, right behind White 's knee.

Murdock throws a shot from downtown. White moves away and avoids it.
Murdock lands a right hook to the body.
Murdock closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
White gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Murdock regains guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Murdock wants to sweep here but White controlling him for the moment.
Murdock is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Murdock throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
White wants to get back to full guard.
Murdock takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Murdock takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

White is trying to maintain the position but Murdock is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Murdock motions for White to come forward. Murdock throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

and Murdock counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Murdock slaps away a takedown attempt from White, before circling back to the center of the mat.
White shoots in for a takedown but Murdock shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Murdock uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before White has time to react.

That's time! Murdock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

White shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

White moves out of range as Murdock throws a body kick.

and Murdock counters with a nice uppercut.

White takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
White is trying to keep Murdock in close.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

White shoots in but no luck this time.

Well Murdock has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
