The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardona shoots in for a double leg but Steadman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Steadman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cardona ducks under a wild hook from Steadman.
Cardona dives in and grabs Steadman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Steadman pushes down on Cardona's head and hops out.
Steadman stuffs the takedown attempt from Cardona. Cardona gets slowly back to his feet.

Horrible takedown by Cardona or perhaps it was just good defense by Steadman which made him look bad.
Cardona is trying desperately to land a takedown but Steadman is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Cardona.

Steadman throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Cardona stumbling backwards into the cage! Cardona bounces back off the cage towards Steadman, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Steadman lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Steadman celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
