Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Purist Thunderwrath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Reed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Purist Thunderwrath!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thunderwrath takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Thunderwrath shoots for a double leg takedown but Reed sprawls well. He's pushed Thunderwrath's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Thunderwrath uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Reed.
Reed keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Reed shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Thunderwrath is trying to defend but Reed finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Thunderwrath makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Thunderwrath.
Reed slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Reed throws a big right hand that misses.
Thunderwrath tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Reed wants to pass the guard but Thunderwrath is keeping the position.
Reed has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Reed decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Thunderwrath, up you get!

Thunderwrath shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Reed throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Reed drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Reed pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Reed shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Reed was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Reed is landing with some decent strikes but Thunderwrath is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Thunderwrath's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Reed lands a nice shot to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reed controlling his opponent.
Reed working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Thunderwrath slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.

Thunderwrath wants to improve his position but Reed is controlling well.
Reed tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Reed not doing much here.
Thunderwrath looks like he's trying to stand up.
Thunderwrath keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

A punch combination from Reed misses.
Thunderwrath misses with a takedown

and Reed decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Thunderwrath's guard.
Thunderwrath is trying to control the position but Reed postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Reed clinches up against the cage.
Thunderwrath tries to break the clinch but Reed is controlling the position.

Thunderwrath is working for takedown but Reed is calmly controlling the position for now.
Thunderwrath blocks the elbow strike.

Reed has clasped his hands together around Thunderwrath's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Reed stands up and beckons Thunderwrath to his feet.

Reed is desperately trying to improve his position but Thunderwrath has a good base and remains in mount.
Thunderwrath wants to control the pace but Reed is squirming around nicely.

Thunderwrath stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Reed wants to stand but Thunderwrath is controlling his posture from full guard.

Thunderwrath gets caught flat footed, as Reed shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Thunderwrath is trying to control the position but Reed postures up.
Reed trying to control the position from guard on top but Thunderwrath is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Thunderwrath is on top in guard.
Thunderwrath trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Thunderwrath looking to sit in guard and control but Reed gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Reed trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Thunderwrath is trying to control the position but Reed postures up.
Thunderwrath has a closed guard, preventing Reed from standing up.
Thunderwrath keeping moving, preventing Reed from controlling successfully.
Thunderwrath wants to get back to his feet but Reed is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Reed looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Thunderwrath clinches but Reed breaks the clinch

and Reed counters with a nice double leg into side control. Thunderwrath won't be happy with that.
Reed taking a breather here.
Thunderwrath tries to improve position but can't.
Reed is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Thunderwrath's shoulder. That is not cool.

Reed is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Thunderwrath has escaped the position, nice work there.
Thunderwrath wants to control but Reed postures up.
Thunderwrath is looking to reverse the position.
Reed lands some shots froms side control.

Reed stands up.
Thunderwrath tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Reed counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Thunderwrath's guard now.

Reed trying to control but Thunderwrath is working from the bottom.
Thunderwrath trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Reed wants to stand and escape but instead Thunderwrath has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Thunderwrath trying to control the position from guard on top but Reed is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Well Reed has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
