Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drew Carpenter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Quest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carpenter comes to the cage accompanied by Let The Sunshine In. Quest has chosen Gory Days as his entrance music. Johnny Quest has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Drew Carpenter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Quest! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Carpenter lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Quest has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Quest and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Carpenter defending well as Quest loads up on a big left hand. Quest throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carpenter's waist but Carpenter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Quest off to one side. Carpenter doesn't succeed with the takedown and Carpenter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Carpenter looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Quest looking to hit a scissor sweep but Carpenter is one step ahead there. Carpenter is in close to Quest's body, working some short punches and elbows. Quest seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Carpenter is looking to work some ground and pound but Quest has wrist control. Carpenter throws a big right hand that misses. Carpenter has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quest looking for a guillotine here but Carpenter defends easily.
Carpenter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Carpenter throwing strikes from guard but Quest blocks nicely. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Carpenter goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Carpenter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Quest works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Carpenter is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Quest avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Carpenter wants to pass the guard but Quest is keeping the position. Carpenter works a leg free and moves into half guard. Quest is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Quest won't allow Carpenter to pass to mount. Quest on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Carpenter not landing any meaningful shots this time. Quest avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Carpenter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Carpenter misses with a head shot. Quest uses the momentum to regain guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carpenter pushes down on Quest's leg and manages to get into half guard. Carpenter wants to pass to mount but Quest is defending the position. Carpenter throws a strike but Quest avoids it easily and moves to full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carpenter working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Quest looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Carpenter passes into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A lazy body kick from Carpenter and Quest counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Carpenter! Carpenter flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Quest working for a submission but Carpenter is keeping him at bay. Carpenter slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Carpenter tries to roll over but Quest keeps him under control. Carpenter manages to get to full guard.
Quest wants to control from the top but Carpenter keeps moving. Carpenter thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Carpenter keeping moving, preventing Quest from controlling successfully. Carpenter is trying to control the position but Quest postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carpenter looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Quest tries to free his leg and advance position but Carpenter is retaining full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Carpenter explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Quest takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Quest misses with a looping left. Carpenter takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Carpenter moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Carpenter closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Quest to the mat! Quest manages to get full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carpenter accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Carpenter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Carpenteris looking to pass into half guard but Quest pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Quest is in guard. Carpenter is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Quest stays in close to Carpenter's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carpenter manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Quest manages to get himself to full guard.
Quest is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Carpenter tries to free his leg and advance position but Quest is retaining full guard. Carpenter thows a big elbow that misses. Carpenter chips away with some ground and pound. Quest is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Quest wants to work for an arm triangle but Carpenter is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Quest is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carpenter lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage. Carpenter is looking to improve his position.
Carpenter is pressing down on Quest's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Quest trying to control but Carpenter is working from the bottom. Carpenter trying to control the position.
Quest is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Carpenter looking for a sweep. Not yet Carpenter, not yet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Quest pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Carpenter fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Quest is out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Carpenter buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Carpenter attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Carpenter looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Carpenter throws a push kick but Quest slaps the foot to one side. Quest throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Carpenter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Carpenter gets the takedown into side control. Quest sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Carpenter is pressing down on Quest's thigh, looking to free his foot. Quest is holding on for now. Carpenter is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Quest reverses the position - he's now on top in Carpenter's guard. Quest stopping the sweep attempt from Carpenter. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Drew Carpenter will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Carpenter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Quest sprawls well. Quest wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Carpenter gets slowly back to his feet. Carpenter misses with a low kick. Carpenter misses with a leg kick. Carpenter misses with a body kick. Carpenter throws a nice outside leg kick. Carpenter shoots in and drives through. Quest sprawls well. Quest gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Carpenter to score an easy takedown into full guard. Carpenter passes easily into side control. Nice work. Quest has one of Carpenter's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quest dodges the ground and pound from Carpenter. Carpenter lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Carpenter works to advance to full mount. Quest defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Quest wants to hold on but Carpenter pushes him away. Quest is working to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Carpenter with shots to the head and body - Quest looks very uncomfortable down there. Carpenter unloads with some shots from mount but Quest bucks and avoids them well.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carpenter working away from the top, dropping strikes. Carpenter in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Carpenter breaks from Quest's wrist control and lands an elbow. Johnny Quest has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Carpenter unloading with bombs! Carpenter lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Quest is rocked! Quest takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carpenter is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Quest can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Quest is still in real trouble! Can Carpenter finish him? Carpenter landing strikes from the mount. Quest in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Carpenter breaks from Quest's wrist control and lands an elbow. Carpenter fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Carpenter lands a big elbow. Carpenter is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Quest has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Quest! Quest seems to have recovered his senses. Quest trying to control but Carpenter is working from the bottom. Carpenter tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quest trying to control the position from guard on top but Carpenter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Quest working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Quest postures up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Carpenter closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Quest did well to prevent Carpenter getting side control. Drew Carpenter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Quest is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Carpenter pulls his head out easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carpenter prevents Quest from improving his position.
And that's the end of the fight! Drew Carpenter showed his dominance in that final round. Well Carpenter has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
