Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marco Ruas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aldo Alpha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ruas might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marco Ruas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aldo Alpha! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alpha throws a lazy right hand but Ruas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Alpha is looking to slow Ruas down with leg kicks. Ruas scores with a hook. Alpha uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ruas. Ruas takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Ruas avoids the head kick by Alpha.
Alpha moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Alpha tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ruas was well out of range. Poor timing from Alpha. Ruas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Alpha sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ruas somewhat. Alpha ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Ruas lands with a straight right. Alpha didn't see that one coming. Ruas throws a looping overhand right but Alpha ducks down to avoid it. A big left from Alpha misses. Alpha throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ruas stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Ruas throws a big shot that misses. Alpha pivots, looking for a leg kick but Ruas is out of range and Alpha settles back down. Ruas scores with a hook to the body. Alpha takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Alpha misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alpha lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Ruas blocks a head kick by Alpha.

Alpha lands a nice looking body kick. Ruas misses with an uppercut. Ruas checks a low kick from Alpha. Alpha loads up on a big right hand but Ruas slips the punch. Alpha uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ruas.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ruas checks a leg kick. A swing and a miss from Alpha. Alpha throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. A lazy left from Ruas finds it's target. Ruas uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Alpha has time to react. A slapping leg kick lands for Alpha.
Ruas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Alpha is looking to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruas is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Alpha sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are battling for position here. Alpha manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Alpha keeping full guard, as Ruas tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alpha tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ruas seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruas has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Alpha keeping moving, preventing Ruas from controlling successfully. Ruas trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Alpha wants to sweep but no luck. Ruas drops back looking for a leg! Alpha is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Alpha manages to kick Ruas off! Ruas jumps back into Alpha's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Alpha throws a nice inside leg kick. Alpha throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Ruas tries to bum rush Alpha with a series of wild strikes but Alpha uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ruas fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Alpha bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Alpha gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Alpha not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Alpha bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ruas's guard. That was a close round but I would say that Marco Ruas will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Alpha is looking to chop away at Ruas's legs. Ruas misses with a looping left. Alpha lands with a nice body punch. Ruas avoids the body shot from Alpha.

That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ruas has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Alpha prevents Ruas from improving position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruas is looking to take a break and control but Alpha is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ruas tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ruas trying to control the position but Alpha is working away. Ruas taking a break here but Alpha is having none of it and regains half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Alpha lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ruas has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ruas and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Alpha cracks Ruas with an open hand slap. Alpha scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Alpha drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Alpha throws a hook to the side of Ruas's head but Ruas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ruas jabbing away but nothing is landing. Alpha throws a leg kick but Ruas moved away. Alpha throws a body punch but Ruas moves out of range. Ruas shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Alpha manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruas is looking to work some ground and pound but Alpha has wrist control. Ruas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alpha swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ruas trying to control the position from guard on top but Alpha is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ruas will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. An inside leg kick lands from Alpha. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marco Ruas dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Marco Ruas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Alpha thumps Ruas with a low kick. Alpha connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Ruas throws a big shot that misses. Ruas shoots in for a takedown but Alpha shows good takedown defense. Ruas looks for a takedown but Alpha sprawls well. Ruas throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Alpha misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ruas.
Ruas is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Alpha lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ruas throws a hook but Alpha avoids it easily. Alpha misses with a body shot.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ruas prevents a body shot from Alpha. A quick uppercut on the inside from Alpha. Alpha lands an elbow that stopped Ruas in his tracks for a moment. Alpha missing with knees to the body.
Ruas tries to break free but Alpha pushes him back against the cage. Ruas wants to get back to striking at distance but Alpha won't allow it.

Nice cross by Alpha. Alpha lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Aldo Alpha has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A good leg kick by Alpha. Ruas keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Alpha closes the distance and lands a one-two. Alpha connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ruas. Ruas circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Alpha lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Alpha fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ruas manages to avoid it. Ruas misses the jab. Ruas throws a hook but Alpha avoids it easily. Ruas gets the takedown into side control. What's Alpha going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Ruas looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Alpha is avoiding damage well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Alpha's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ruas wants to control but Alpha is keeping him busy. Alpha dodges the ground and pound from Ruas. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ruas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Ruas is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Aldo Alpha comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Ruas has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
