Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tony Parts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Den! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut there from Parts. Parts misses with a looping left. Parts throws and low kick but Den moves out of range easily. Den dives in and grabs Parts's left leg, looking for a takedown. Parts pushes down on Den's head and hops out. Parts lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Parts swings for the body but Den moves out of range.
Parts cracks Den with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Den walks into a straight right hand from Parts. Parts lands with a nice body punch. Den blocks a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parts throws out a loose jab but Den uses good head movement to avoid it. Den shoots in but Parts avoids the takedown attempt easily. Parts will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A chopping leg kick lands by Parts. Parts scores with a leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parts thows a left - swing and a miss! Den shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Parts pinned against the cage. Parts gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Tony Parts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Den. Parts connects with a solid leg kick. Den looks gassed! Parts throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Den shoots in for a takedown but Parts shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Den uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Parts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Den keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Parts throws a quick inside leg kick. Den slips under a jab. Parts lands an overhand right. Parts throws a nice inside leg kick. Den is trying desperately to land a takedown but Parts is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Den. Parts feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Den sprawling to the canvas! Den rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Parts finish him?!
Den is rocked!
It looks like Joe Den has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Parts flashes Den a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Den's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Den crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Parts punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
