Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Colt Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Johnson's choice of entrance music: Fabolous Imma Do It. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Colt Evans! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James Johnson! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Evans. No joy for Johnson on that attempt. Johnson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Evans sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Johnson feints and as Evans raises his hands in defense, Johnson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Evans utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Johnson chips away with some ground and pound. Johnson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Johnson has gone for a leg lock! Evans slips out almost immediately though and dives into Johnson's guard. Evans got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johnson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Evans has managed to get both his arms back between Johnson's legs - danger averted. Evans stopping the sweep attempt from Johnson. Johnson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evans shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but Evans keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Evans is breathing heavily. Johnson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Evans counters with a nice double leg into side control. Johnson won't be happy with that. Colt Evans has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Johnson. Johnson gets back to half guard. Evans wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy. Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Johnson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnson is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Evans works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Johnson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Evans manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Johnson has Evans in his guard. Johnson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Evans manages to get himself to full guard.
Johnson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Johnson lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Evans has momentary wrist control but Johnson slips an elbow through the middle. Evans keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Evans utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Johnson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Johnson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Evans looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Evans looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Evans!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Evans tries to advance to mount but Johnson denies him. Johnson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Johnson scoring with strikes to the body and head. Ground and pound from Johnson. Evans on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Johnson is trying for a kimura here. Evans looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Johnson wins by kimura!
