Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Don Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and willan david (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). willan david will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt.
david pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
david throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
david waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gracie.
david doesn't manage to clinch there - Gracie circles away.
Gracie moves out of range as david throws a body kick.

It looks like Don Gracie has been cut.

david cracks Gracie with a big right hand and Gracie goes down!

Gracie is rocked!
Gracie has a closed guard, preventing david from standing up.
david tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. david doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. david manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.

david looks like he's trying to stand up.
Gracie perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
david is looking to escape.
Gracie is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for david!

Gracie has hold of david's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and david manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
david is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

david throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
david is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gracie.
No luck for Gracie with that takedown attempt.
Don Gracie is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
david misses with a body kick.

Gracie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. david did well to prevent Gracie getting side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Don Gracie.
david lands a head kick. Gracie smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
david tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Gracie looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and david defends it well.
Gracie frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gracie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

david really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gracie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. david can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
