PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Hugg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and True Art (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). True Art told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Hugg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, True Art! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hugg shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Art as he avoids it easily. Art is looking to land body kicks. Art stalks Hugg and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hugg's face. Hugg staggers backwards, shaken. Art will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Art throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hugg. Hugg needs to keep his hands up - Art had a free shot at his head there. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Art!
Hugg shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Art misses with a series of wild punches.

Hugg is looking to clinch. Art will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Art lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Hugg shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Hugg. That's going to take a lot out of him. Art fails to land with a series of punches.
Art scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Hugg drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Hugg is rocked! Hugg is breathing heavily. Hugg takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Oh Hugg is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Art fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Hugg to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Hugg looks to clinch but Art throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Hugg taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). True Art!
