Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dilbert Pickles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Rappenecker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rappenecker has chosen Burial - Untrue as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Dilbert Pickles has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dilbert Pickles seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dilbert Pickles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tom Rappenecker! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rappenecker instigates a clinch. Rappenecker lands a nice knee to the body. Rappenecker lands a nice knee to the body. Pickles goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rappenecker prevents it.

Tom Rappenecker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rappenecker fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pickles sprawls well initially but Rappenecker persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Pickles has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rappenecker is working away from the top position though. Pickles moves into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pickles is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rappenecker wants to control from the top but Pickles keeps moving. Rappenecker looks gassed! Pickles seems keen to control Rappenecker's posture. Rappenecker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pickles is proving hard to escape from. Pickles is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pickles's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Pickles with a lazy takedown attempt and Rappenecker holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dilbert Pickles. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pickles tries to pull guard but Rappenecker won't allow it.

Pickles gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rappenecker counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pickles's guard now. Rappenecker trying to control but Pickles is working from the bottom. Pickles looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Rappenecker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pickles manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pickles takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Pickles avoids the attempt from Rappenecker to control. Pickles can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rappenecker is looking to escape. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rappenecker can do anything to dispel that myth.

Pickles wants to control but Rappenecker is keeping busy and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pickles is refusing to be controlled, as Rappenecker sits in half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pickles keeping control of the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rappenecker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Pickles holds on, trying desperately to control. Rappenecker wants to control the pace but Pickles is squirming around nicely. Pickles wants to control but Rappenecker is having none of it. Pickles bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Rappenecker controls Pickles momentarily but Pickles frees himself.

Pickles sitting in guard, not really doing much. Tom Rappenecker has got the better of the ground game so far. Pickles wants to control from the top but Rappenecker keeps moving. Pickles looking to pass the guard. Rappenecker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pickles is one step ahead there.

Pickles has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rappenecker down to the mat. Rappenecker avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pickles shoots and misses so Rappenecker counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dilbert Pickles. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pickles is trying to keep Rappenecker in close.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pickles looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Pickles bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rappenecker's guard. Pickles is stalling in the full guard. Rappenecker throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rappenecker wants to stand up but Pickles is controlling him. Pickles tries to free his leg and advance position but Rappenecker is retaining full guard. Pickles looking to sit in guard and control but Rappenecker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rappenecker is fighting to break Pickles's control of his arms but Pickles is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Rappenecker is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pickles pulls Rappenecker in close to his closed guard and prevents Rappenecker from doing any damage or advancing position. Pickles looking for a sweep. Not yet Pickles, not yet. Pickles working a defensive guard here.

Rappenecker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Pickles keeps Rappenecker under control for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pickles parries the strikes from Rappenecker easily there. Rappenecker is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Pickles to escape.
Rappenecker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pickles keeps working. Pickles wants to control but Rappenecker postures up. Rappenecker lands a few punches from side control. Pickles can't do much from the bottom here. Pickles is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rappenecker is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Pickles tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that's the end of the fight! Tom Rappenecker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rappenecker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
