Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Moni Cvetkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cvetkov comes to the cage accompanied by Teletubbies. Hitz comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "Psycho" - DZK kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Moni Cvetkov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Hitz! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cvetkov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Cvetkov stops Hitz from standing up. Cvetkov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Hitz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cvetkov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hitz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hitz looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cvetkov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hitz swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cvetkov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Hitz is trying to escape the position but Cvetkov is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cvetkov grinds an elbow into Hitz's temple. Cvetkov advances to full mount. Cvetkov controlling the pace for now. Cvetkov prevents Hitz from getting the reversal. Hitz defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cvetkov. Hitz can't escape the position.
Cvetkov has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hitz's face.
Hitz is in a horrible position here. Cvetkov smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cvetkov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hitz is trying to stand up. Cvetkov raining down shots from the mount! Hitz is in all sorts of trouble here.
Cvetkov tries to control but Hitz wriggling away. A nice elbow there by Cvetkov. Hitz is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Hitz looks gassed! Cvetkov wants to control the pace but Hitz is squirming around nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hitz is desperately trying to improve his position but Cvetkov has a good base and remains in mount. Cvetkov sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Cvetkov scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Hitz?

Cvetkov is in the full mount, landing strikes. Hitz is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cvetkov looking to control but Hitz is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Cvetkov controlling his opponent. Cvetkov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hitz is looking to escape. Cvetkov takes a little breather and maintains the position. Cvetkov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hitz defends it nicely. Hitz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Moni Cvetkov. Cvetkov blocks a head kick by Hitz.

Cvetkov slows the pace down in half guard. Cvetkov slips a nice elbow through Hitz's hands, connecting with Hitz's forehead. Hitz is not content to let Cvetkov control the position. Cvetkov content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Moni Cvetkov. Hitz fails in his attempt to clinch. Cvetkov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hitz pinned against the cage. Hitz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Cvetkov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Moni Cvetkov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hitz stuffs the takedown attempt from Cvetkov. Cvetkov gets slowly back to his feet. Hitz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cvetkov moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hitz moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Moni Cvetkov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hitz shoots and misses and Cvetkov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hitz's guard. Cvetkov passes Hitz's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Hitz is breathing heavily. Cvetkov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hitz keeps working. Hitz is looking to escape. Hitz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cvetkov pulls his head out easily. Hitz is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cvetkov wants to take a breather but Hitz is having none of it. Cvetkov controlling the action here. Moni Cvetkov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hitz is trying to stand back up but Cvetkov is controlling him
Cvetkov perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Cvetkov working over Hitz with some ground and pound. Hitz looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Cvetkov is keen to just control but Hitz is a slippery customer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Moni Cvetkov dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Cvetkov misses with a takedown attempt - Hitz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Mike Hitz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hitz throws a nice looking combination but Cvetkov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hitz misses with a body kick. Hitz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hitz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cvetkov. Hitz lands a jab-cross combination. Excellent takedown into side control there by Cvetkov. Hitz is looking to reverse the position. Cvetkov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hitz keeps working. Cvetkov tries to advance to mount but can't. Hitz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Cvetkov tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hitz tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hitz is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cvetkov has just dragged him back down to the mat. Hitz takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Cvetkov is staying tight to Hitz's torso, preventing him from escaping. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Cvetkov creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Hitz sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Hitz moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Hitz keeping moving, preventing Cvetkov from controlling successfully. Cvetkov slips nicely into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cvetkov controlling the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Moni Cvetkov. No joy there for Hitz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cvetkov doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hitz counters with a three punch combo that has Cvetkov backing up. Cvetkov nods at Hitz to acknowledge the strikes. Cvetkov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Hitz is pressing down on Cvetkov's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Cvetkov won't allow Hitz to sweep him here. Cvetkov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hitz swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cvetkov with a nice head shot there. Mike Hitz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cvetkov sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cvetkov is in close to Hitz's body, working some short punches and elbows. Hitz keeping moving, preventing Cvetkov from controlling successfully. Hitz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cvetkov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cvetkov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Cvetkov cracks Hitz with a solid left hand.
And that's the end of the fight! Moni Cvetkov showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cvetkov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
