Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Makoto Ohe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Syaroga Taets (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ohe might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to ClawFinger - Do what I say. Syaroga Taets looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Makoto Ohe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Syaroga Taets! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Taets looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Taets wants to clinch. Taets tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ohe clinches up against the cage. Taets is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Taets misses with a knee to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ohe lands a nice uppercut. Taets stalling in the clinch but Ohe improves position. Ohe working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Ohe with a knee to the head.
It looks like Syaroga Taets has been cut. Taets misses with a knee to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taets takes a knee to the side of the body. Ohe lands an uppercut. Taets throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Ohe tightens his grip and picks Taets up, before dumping him to the ground. Taets manages to land in guard. Ohe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Taets avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Taets looks gassed! Ohe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Taets works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ohe trying to control but Taets is working from the bottom. Ohe landing some decent shots from guard. Ohe is pushing down on Taets's leg trying to pass to half guard. Taets is fighting to maintain full guard but Ohe has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ohe working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Ohe lands with a punch from half guard. Ohe tries to pass to full mount but Taets defends it. Ohe lands strikes from half guard. Ohe frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ohe scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Taets taking shots to the head. Ohe lands a nice shot to the head. Taets is in a horrible position here. Ohe smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Taets takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Ohe lands a big elbow. Ohe with shots to the head and body - Taets looks very uncomfortable down there. Taets taking shots to the head. A nice elbow there by Ohe. A nice elbow there by Ohe. Ohe in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ohe with shots to the head and body - Taets looks very uncomfortable down there. Ohe is landing with some decent strikes but Taets is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Ohe cracks Taets with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Makoto Ohe dominated that round. The cut man is working on Syaroga Taets's cut. That's time! Ohe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ohe clinches. Taets fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Taets tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ohe smiles and moves away.
Ohe closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Ohe putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Taets in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ohe with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Ohe is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Taets is breathing heavily. Ohe tries to land a knee to the head but Taets blocks with his arms.

That's one minute gone in the round. Taets is working for takedown but Ohe is calmly controlling the position for now. Makoto Ohe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Syaroga Taets. Ohe blocks an elbow strike. Ohe with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Ohe has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Taets is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Taets letting Ohe take a breather here. Ohe has picked Taets up - he's going for a ride! Ohe dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ohe lands a nice short elbow. Ohe slips a nice elbow through Taets's hands, connecting with Taets's forehead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ohe looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Taets looks like he's trying to stand up.

Ground and pound from Ohe. Ohe landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Ohe lands with a punch from half guard. Makoto Ohe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ohe controlling the action here. Ohe is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Taets can do to turn this around?

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Ohe is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Taets tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ohe just stands there and leans against the cage. Ohe is leaning against Taets and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Ohe as Taets tries to tie him up. Ohe landing knees to the body.

Taets takes a knee to the side of the body. Ohe has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Taets regains guard immediately. Taets takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Ohe is in close to Taets's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Taets has momentary wrist control but Ohe slips an elbow through the middle. Ohe keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Taets's head. Ohe stands and throws Taets's legs to the side, diving into side control. Ohe scoring with punches and elbows.

Ohe looks up at the clock and then as Taets takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ohe smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
