The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chrustjev wants to clinch up but Steakworth keeps it at a distance.
Chrustjev fails with an attempt to clinch.
Chrustjev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Steakworth tries to avoid it but Chrustjev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Steakworth to the ground. Steakworth escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Chrustjev fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Steakworth sprawls well initially but Chrustjev persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Chrustjev is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Steakworth is just riding it out for now. Chrustjev eventually gives up the hold.

Steakworth has hold of Chrustjev's hands but Chrustjev slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Chrustjev thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Chrustjev is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Steakworth is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Steakworth has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Steakworth is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Steakworth is taking a breather. Chrustjev says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Steakworth ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Steakworth lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Steakworth slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
